Barack Obama predicts that Donald Trump will lose Presidential election

President Barack Obama is confident that Donald Trump will not be the next Oval Office occupant.
'I recognize that there is a deep obsession right now about Mr. Trump,' he said Thursday evening at a fundraiser, 'And one of you pulled me aside and squeezed me hard and said, "Tell me ... that Mr. Trump is not succeeding you!" '
Obama said he told the Democrat:
'Mr. Trump's not succeeding me.'
The president told attendees of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee fundraiser in Los Angeles, at the Walt Disney Studios, that Trump and Senator Ted Cruz, also vying for the GOP nomination, were helping, not hurting the party's chances of winning in November.
'Mr. Trump has actually done a service as Mr. Cruz is doing a service and that is laying bare, unvarnished some of the nonsense that we have been dealing with in Congress on a daily basis,' Obama argued, according to ABC News.
He said, 'People act as if these folks are outliers but they are not!'
We should thank Mr. Trump and Mr. Cruz for just being honest that this is how we're thinking these days, or not thinking these days. It gives you a sense of what's at stake in this election.'
Tickets to the Bel-Air fundraiser ranged from $15,000 a person to $66,800 per couple.
House Minority Meader Nancy Pelosi, Julia Roberts, Gwyneth Paltrow, Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Brad Hall, Katie McGrath and J.J. Abrams, Lyn and Norman Lear and Barbra Streisand and James Brolin all attended.

Barrack Obama Covers OUT100 Magazine

44th President of the United States, Barrack Obama graces the cover of OUT100 Magazine.

The President had an interview with the magazine, in which he touched on various influences on his relationship with the LGBT community as well as his administration’s accomplishments on LGBT rights.

Excerpts below:
On the first person he met that was gay :
I’m not sure who the first openly gay person I met was, but Dr. Lawrence Goldyn, one of my college professors, is a man who stands out to me. I took his class freshman year at Occidental. I was probably 18 years old — Lawrence was one of the younger professors — and we became good friends. He went out of his way to advise lesbian, gay, and transgender students at Occidental, and keep in mind, this was 1978. That took a lot of courage, a lot of confidence in who you are and what you stand for. I got to recognize Lawrence last year at our Pride Month reception at the White House, and thank him for influencing the way I think about so many of these issues.
On how his daughters react to homophobia :
To Malia and Sasha and their friends, discrimination in any form against anyone doesn’t make sense. It doesn’t dawn on them that friends who are gay or friends’ parents who are same-sex couples should be treated differently than anyone else. That’s powerful. My sense is that a lot of parents across the country aren’t going to want to sit around the dinner table and try to justify to their kids why a gay teacher or a transgender best friend isn’t quite as equal as someone else. That’s also why it’s so important to end harmful practices like conversion therapy for young people and allow them to be who they are. The next generation is spurring change not just for future generations, but for my generation, too. As president, and as a dad, that makes me proud. It makes me hopeful.
On deciding to make LGBT equality a part of his administration:
This really goes back to when I was a kid, because my mom instilled in me the strong belief that every person is of equal worth. At the same time, growing up as a black guy with a funny name, I was often reminded of exactly what it felt like to be on the outside. One of the reasons I got involved in politics was to help deliver on our promise that we’re all created equal, and that no one should be excluded from the American dream just because of who they are. That’s why, in the Senate, I supported repealing DOMA [the Defense of Marriage Act]. It’s why, when I ran for president the first time, I publicly asked for the support of the LGBT community, and promised that we could bring about real change for LGBT Americans.

Buhari will defeat Boko haram – Obasanjo

Obasanjo who made the statement while addressing journalists at the villa after presenting a report of how Nigeria could win the war against Boko Haram said this is possible because Buhari has listening ears. “I have come to see the president for two reasons. The first one is the one you have just seen. I brought a delegation of those of us who visited Columbia last year under the auspices of a foundation, which I am the chairman. We went to Columbia to see how all the Columbian authorities were handling the issue of insurgency, which had been with them for more than 50 years. As a result of that visit and the experience we had, a book was produced and I said to them that it will be interesting for us in Nigeria to learn as much as we can from the experience of Columbia. The specific thing is that they have been fighting insurgency for 50 years. They celebrated their 50 years in existence in May last year; in fact, we went there in June. So, we want to see what has kept them going, what has kept insurgency going? What has made the government of Columbia to make three attempts to seek peace, to end the war and insurgency and they failed. What are the new efforts that they are making? How likely are those new efforts going to succeed? Oh yes. If we won the civil war, we can win this one. But like the Columbian said, we are not waiting until we kill off every insurgent to say we have won. “One thing you can say about the president is that he is anxious to learn and he has listening ears. Of course, nobody knows it all. A good leader must seek every opportunity to learn and to put what he learns into practice.”

Jerry John Rawlings Secret Finally Revealed

In a recently produced documentary by CCTV Africa dubbed: ‘Faces of Africa, the Jerry
Rawlings story.’ Mr Rawlings said: “You may not believe it but I’d much rather be known as an artist than as a president, just as I’d much rather probably be known for my flying skills than being a president,” “Maybe it’s because through this [displaying one of his handiworks] you see my power of observation, my sense of precision, my striving
for excellence.
“I don’t know where you found this, but the point is I’ve kept quiet about this thing because I haven’t done my wife’s portrait yet. If I’ve done my wife’s portrait also, I would have felt good about displaying this,” he told CCTV Africa.
