Birdman Addresses Gay Rumors

During the interview with host Ebro Darden and co-host Laura Stylez, Birdman addressed rumors about his sexuality, talks of a feud with Rick Ross and Trick Daddy, and his ongoing dispute with Lil Wayne. See highlights from the 35-minute conversation below.
ON RICK ROSS: “Me and Ross was like brothers everyday, hanging together. They one of the reasons we came to Miami, because them nias embraced us so strong when we came out here. I don’t know what his call was to even get into me and my son business. [Wayne’s] my son…That shit gonna work itself out. I have the utmost respect for Ross. We come up and I taught him a lot of game in this shit. He watched my pimpin’ and did his own thing with it being a hustler, but it threw me off.”
ON LIL WAYNE BEEF: “It’s more of a misunderstanding than a money issue. If you knew me, I always gave Wayne any and everything he ever wanted. Our train is still moving. Drake just put out an album. Nicki is in the studio. The train is still moving. I think it’s a lot of misunderstanding and me and him talk, but you best believe this situation is gonna work itself out.”
ON VIEWS : “I think Drake got the album of the year, man. In three hours, he did like 400,000, man. He’s something special. Hip-hop has to keep going. We need this.”
ON BUSINESS MISTAKES: “I came in the game real young with a lot of money. I ain’t have nobody to teach me, bro. I learned from my mistakes. I’m not perfect. I’ve made a lot of mistakes and I’ve tried to correct my mistakes as time went by.”
ON HIS TUMULTUOUS RELATIONSHIP WITH ARTISTS: “I have corrected my mistakes as time went by. You can see it because I’m still doing major business. You think Drake would be putting out an album? You think Nicki would be back in the studio? We done had a lot of fall-ins and fall-outs, but that’s just the nature of our business. You’re just looking at me because I’m a street black man, but if you go into any one of these buildings, they all have the same problems.”
ON TRICK DADDY SAYING BIRDMAN IS GAY: “Come on, man. I’m a straight gangster. That ni
a’s been in my hood. He knows what’s happening with me. I guess nia wanna get on the radio and be funny or something but nia know what’s happening with me. Google me, man. Call anything in the 504 and ask about me. Google me, man. Watch what comes up: straight G.”
ON HIS UPBRINGING: “It’s the first time I ever really opened up about my personal life growing up. As a kid, my moms passed when I was two. My pops passed when I was young. My sister took me away to Prince George [in Canada]. I lived out there for [a few] years. I came back. I was in boys home for a few years…And once my step mother got us out the boys home, I was just a wild animal. I didn’t give a fuck about nothing, nobody, not even myself.”
ON HIS BIOPIC : “The name of it is Before Anything. [When] I signed my deal with Universal, I was maybe 19 years old turning 20 with $30 million. It was before that. It was life before that.”
ON CASH MONEY’S BIOPIC: “Also I’m doing the Cash Money story. I thought that what Dr. Dre and [ice] Cube did was some real genius shit. Big shouts to them, just keeping hip-hop alive, just doing what they do. I feel like my Cash Money story should be as bigger because I feel like we super irrelevant in music.”
ON HIS MOTHER, MS. GLADYS: “I was two when she passed…My mom passed after she had me. She got shot and she died from complications. That shit be fucking with me a lot. I decided I’ll never speak on my momma. I speak about her a lot, but I never get in-depth about nothing with my family. So with this album, I’m really in-depth with it.”
ON GUNS: “I keep a lot on me. That’s just how I live my life. I live my life with no fear for no human. I also believe in self protection.”

I Am Not a Husand Snatcher - Stella Damasus

Nollywood actress and singer, Stella Damasus, has been an outcast of sort among some of her colleagues who have labelled her ‘husband-snatcher’ after she started living as a couple with Doris Simeon’s ex husband, Daniel Ademinokan.
Since the incident made news a couple of years ago, Stella has kept her peace, refusing to comment on the issue until recently. “I have kept mum on the allegation until now and I feel it’s time I expressed myself.
”One of the comments I have seen consistently, over and over again is, ‘Stella snatches somebody’s husband’; ‘Stella the husband snatcher’; which is what has been going on.
“And I had sworn that I would never talk about it or even listen or stress myself about the issue. But I have decided to talk about it now, so that I end it once and for all’, she said.“How is it possible to go to somebody’s home, take a happily married man, take his son away from his home and say follow me.
“Let’s assume you are a man, and according to their story, he is happily married inside his home with his family complete, and I walk into that home to forcefully take a man, able-bodied man, and a kid, away from somebody’s hand and you are there looking at me.
“So, logically, if people actually sit down and think about it intelligently, how do you snatch somebody from somebody and the person is there looking at you?
“So when you see a man who has settled ties with a woman and decides to move on with his life and you feel that there is something in this man that you like and he likes you, is there a problem there?
“I am not a kid. I am 38 years old. I am not about to start hiding myself’" she said.

P. Diddy Retiring From Music To Focus On Acting

American hip hop recording artist, record producer, entrepreneur and actor Sean Combs known as Puff Daddy announced that No Way Out 2 would be his last and final album. "I'm going to put out my last album and devote 100 percent of my time to doing films," he told Cigar Aficionado magazine. "I want to stop at a great place. And a final album is a great place to stop. I want to take a victory lap, to do a world tour and really enjoy it one last time."
"When I'm gone, only the songs will survive. I know I'm making music that will live on," he said. "I don't go into the studio just to be hot or to hear myself on the radio. Michael Jackson, Tupac, Biggie-- part of them lives on in their music, even though they're not here anymore. That's really deep, man. The only other thing like that is religion."

Emeka Ike reinstates Nollywood actress suspended for biting colleague on set

Emeka Ike president of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) has faulted the suspension of controversial actress, Crystabel Goddy by Ibinabo Fiberesima, the embattled former President of the guild.
An official statement signed by Femi Durojaiye, the national secretary to Emeka Ike’s faction of AGN, said:
“Our attention has been drawn to the purported suspension of Miss Crystabel Goddy by the illegal government of Ibinabo Fiberesima, for having an altercation with a fellow actress.”
Not only is the purported suspension spurious as Miss Crystabel Goddy is not a card carrying member of Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) but it is also a reckless decision by those drunken with power.
“Even if Miss Crystabel Goddy were a member of our Guild, there are set procedures for dealing with issues bothering on indiscipline. Miss Goddy never faced any disciplinary panel to hear her case to determine her guilt or otherwise.
“Her purported suspension by Ibinabo is akin to jungle justice, which is alien to Actors Guild of Nigeria. For the avoidance of doubt, Miss Crystabel Goddy is not under any suspension by Actors Guild of Nigeria, and therefore free to continue her career, as we rebuild our Guild to make it once more attractive to young talents.”
On Friday, 12 February, Crystabel and a colleague, Princess Chineka engaged in a dirty fight on a movie location in Iyana Ipaja, Lagos. The former was reported to have bit off the latter’s thigh. If you missed it, read it HERE and HERE
Below is the statement earlier released by the Ibinabo faction of AGN:
“The Guilds and Associations in Nollywood have been duly notified of the suspension while the national and state task forces have been kept on alert to disengage her from all sets pending when the suspension would be lifted.
“The Guild has set up a high powered committee headed by the National Chief Whip, Empress Eneh to investigate the immediate and remote causes of the matter. Crystabel shall remain on suspension until the outcome of the investigation as stipulated by the constitution of the Guild.”

Puff Daddy announced that
No Way Out 2 would be his last and final album , and according to Pigeons and Planes, the Bad Boy CEO tells Cigar Aficionado that in lieu of music he plans to siphon his focus towards film and acting upon his retirement.
"I’m going to put out my last album and devote 100 percent of my time to doing films," Puff Daddy says in his interview with Cigar Aficionado set to hit newsstands May 3. "I want to stop at a great place. And a final album is a great place to stop. I want to take a victory lap, to do a world tour and really enjoy it once last time."

"I have such a deep appreciation at being able to be a father," Diddy tells Cigar Aficionado. "My father didn’t get the chance to be there for me. That makes me appreciate the opportunity that much more deeply. I stress the importance of that to my kids—that you can’t take having a family for granted."

Dakota Mayi Johnson Covers Interview Magazine

American actress and model Dakota Mayi Johnson is featured on the front cover of Interview Magazine’s May 2016 issue.
Dakota declares, "I still feel like I don't know what I'm doing. Like, I'm unsure of what my life will be like. I mean, I have such an obsession with making movies that I probably will always do that. But sometimes my life can feel so suffocating, and then it can feel so massive, like I don't have a handle on it at all, and I don't know where it's going or what I'm going to do. Right now, I'm known for making movies. And I wonder if that's it. I don't know. It doesn't feel like it to me."
Ms. Johnson adds, "It seems like the world is so fast to move its interest to someone else. When I think about filmmakers and actresses that I have admired my whole life, I've admired their entire body of work. I have admired what they began with and what they're doing now. And now I feel like there's such a weird pressure to find the new face. I don't get it at all. I want to see women evolve. I want to see a body of work. I want to see all of it."

OAP, Daddy Freeze Regrets His Open Letter to Tiwa Savage

Outspoken CoolFM OAP, Daddy Freeze who is also a divorcee has written a second message to Tiwa Savage in quick succession over her marriage crisis with Teebillz.
Read his message below via Instagram:
I got off the phone with @tiwasavage last night and I felt deflated. I went to bed immediately after, but sleep was far from me. I tossed and turned all night without successfully getting one wink of sleep. The 45 minutes I spoke to her haunted me, and our conversation replayed itself over and over again. She was so polite, a well brought up Yoruba lady who was visibly hurt, but not for once was she rude to me. Our conversation was mostly in Yoruba and I couldn’t help but notice that despite the fact that she wasn’t happy with my previous post, she still addressed me with the ‘e’ the Yoruba tribe employ, when speaking to older people. Her tone was calm and she passed her message across to me with the utmost courtesy, showcasing her pristine upbringing.
I sensed pain in her voice and it was that pain that kept me up. Tiwa is a good woman, a strong woman. I could see that she still cared about TJ when she asked if I had spoken to him. I’m going to be 40 in a few days, and if there is anything I give myself credit for, it’s the fact that I am a good judge of character. What I felt when speaking to her was genuine. I wanted to slap myself for being bit insensitive in my last post but, I guess it’s too late for regrets now, it’s gone along with her interview and his posts, into the unforgiving archives of the Internet, never to be forgotten.
As I started my drive towards @coolfmlagos this morning to preach on the gospel show #PraiseJam where I will be speaking till 11am, it occurred to me that we all have to stop blaming either party and focus on praying for both of them. T billz and Tiwa are both at a fragile state, and it is so unfortunate that this matter has been brought before a fanged public ready to tear us all up for their amusement. Like @official2baba said, don’t make jokes about a serious matter, instead, remember them in your prayers.
I love you Tiwa, I love you Billz, there is a light at the end of this tunnel, GOD is your strength and he will see you through this!
