The Spirit of Kologo – King Ayisoba

Ghanaian musician King Ayisoba says he owes his success to the spirit behind his local guitar 'Kologo'. Which he said:
“When I start playing my Kologo, the spirit will enter into me and with vim I can give people feeling.... spirit dey (is) inside my Kologo. Kologo is not something you learn, it’s a gift you get.
“Music is feeling, if you are good everybody knows that you are good. Outside if they hear my voice …they just dance, happy but they do not understand the music I sing.”

Dr Cryme reacts to Reggie Rockstone suggestion

Ghanaian rapper Darlington Kwasi Agyekum popularly known as Dr. Cryme reacted to Reggie Rockstone’s recommendation that he is the perfect artiste to substitute Choirmaster, who was a member of the Praye group. On Radio Univers’ Brunch2Lunch, Dr Cryme said: “For me to be recommended, I keep saying that it is a blessing. One thing I also want to say now is that I have been a solo artiste since most people knew me. For now, everything that I plan or write is solely based on me being a solo artiste.
In most cases, solo artistes who want to upgrade do not want anyone to join them. People who always start with solo mind go with solo mind. Sometimes you guys can merge and do a collabo.
The best thing we can do like a group is to do a collabo. I will be super ready to have collaboration with them but I don’t see me being part of the group”

I Cannot Join Praye - Choirmaster

Former leader of Hiplife trio Praye, Eugene Baah aka Praye Honeho now known as Choirmaster says he cannot join Praye group. He said, “If there will be a comeback, it will be business that will bring us back after all we have worked together before. But the question is who will pay for the studio section for recording, aside that, will our individual contracts permit any of us to work on other contracts?” Choirmaster added, “My contract will not permit me to be part. It’s a 5 year deal and I can only make my decision after my contract is over” He posted the statement below on his Instagram page few hours after news of Praye’s reunion:
“The noise of the sea will never disturb the fishes from sleeping. Therefore don’t let anything disturb you, stay focus and determine to be on track on whatever you are pursuing in life, turn a deaf ear to every noise that will distract your attention. God will Change your Story”.

Police Raid Lil Wayne's Miami Manson and Seize Property

Authorities raided Lil Wayne’s Miami Beach mansion on Tuesday, seizing property to satisfy a judgment involving unpaid private jet bills.
According to TMZ, when officers arrived Wayne’s security refused to let them inside the house. They explained that they were there to seize certain assets because Wayne had not paid a $2 million judgment to Signature Group, a jet leasing company.
In September, Weezy lost the judgement and also owes Signature Group $200,000 in lawyer’s fees. The company sued Wayne, claiming that he missed payments for two years.
To recover the money, the court order allows Miami-Dade County Sheriff’s deputies to break the locks if necessary to gain entry and confiscate seizable assets.
Wayne was not home at the time. He was seen at a Los Angeles strip club on Monday night.
This is not the first incident to occur at Weezy’s Miami home. In March, police swarmed his La Gorce Island mansion in response to a tip that four people had been shot, but it turned out to be a “swatting” hoax .

M.I Explains Why Some Artist Didn’t Donate Cash During Ojb’s Kidney Ailment

In a chat with My Africa Podcast, M.I Abaga opened up on why artistes didn’t donate Money for OJB’s kidney complications.

MI said the fear of being ridiculed made many artistes not to give cash to the producer.

In his words;

“First of all, I have the utmost respect for Nomoreloss as a human being. He was definitely one of the people that had a platform that put us on. He is always showing me love, always giving me good advice.

“I haven’t seen him since, and I dread seeing him because, I can imagine that for that one comment, he’ll be disappointed. ‘Yo M.I, why didn’t you reach out to me.

“But this what happened; OJB was sick and people were trying to raise money. I all of a sudden went 0-100 broke, like instantly. All of a sudden there was letters going out, ‘like this person didn’t contribute, why would you ask a publicist (to write a letter), and it became a big thing. What caught me was the fact that Nomoreloss who was a fellow artiste, and he’s writing letters saying, ‘Why won’t artiste come out, why won’t D’banj speak out and say he didn’t donate this money?”

“Everybody was confused, every artiste was confused, so one or two things started happening. A certain artiste told me that he went and contributed the little money that he had, and by the time he got home, it was put in the broadcast, ‘this is how much you gave’.” And it was embarrassing because somebody else is giving N5 million, and you have your little N100,000.

“Already, everybody was in that N100,000 category, of which there was maybe 20, 30 people. Automatically it’s like ‘Yo, I’m gonna keep my N100,000, I’m not trying to be embarrassed. On the second hand, you have artistes, like myself, who were just confused, if we were to go, what would have happened, what would we see, because it had become a media thing.

OJB later got the help he needed when the Governor of Rivers State, Rotimi Amaechi, funded the surgery. M.I Abaga recognizes that, but believes that more discretion and understanding should have been applied by Nomoreloss.

“At the end of the day, Nomoreloss can hold his head high because OJB did get help. But the comment in the song came from the fact that I remember reading back to back articles and people were just insulting 2face (Idibia); this guy gave you all the music and you couldn’t even even help him. People didn’t know at the time, 2face’s Dad who had later gone on to pass away from kidney complications was in India undergoing the same thing.

“I was privy to one moment when they needed money right there and then, and 2face was caught between Lagos and Abuja, he was trying to get money for people to send. It was rough for some people. People had issues every day, you know Iyanya lost most of his family in one year, but we never see that side. What we see is what you should be able to do based on our perception of who you are.

“At least not from a fellow artiste. A fellow artiste should understand, and thankfully it didn’t become controversial. That’s the truth of what I wanted to say in the moment.” Source: http://www.safecozzy.com/news/m-i-abaga-explains-why-some-artist-didnt-donate-cash-during-ojbs-kidney-ailment/
