Aki Speaks On Not Having A PhD

Nollywood star actor, Chinedu Ikedieze (MFR) known as Aki speaks on not having a PhD. He believes that by this time in his life, he should have gained a Ph.D degree. He told Punch “Aside obtaining my first degree in mass communication at The Institute of Management and Technology (IMT), Enugu, I had the opportunity to go to New York Film Academy in 2004. I did film acting, it is like a certificate programme and I have learnt over the years on the job too. By now, the way I had it in mind when I finished school, I should have had my second Master’s degree if not Ph.D. Each time I think along that line, other things come to mind and I am not happy about that. When you see me again, I might just be finishing a particular course.”

Arnold Schwarzenegger Named “Golden Icon” At Zurich Film Festival

Arnold Schwarzenegger honored with the title of Golden Icon at the Zurich Film Festival. The award, which was introduced in 2008, is given to “a person who has become an icon for a whole generation and whose performance and work in
film is unforgettable.” Arnold said, “I’m happy to be back into acting and I’m also very happy that I did my public service … so I will be doing many more movies,” Arnold Schwarzenegger joins an impressive list of recipients,including Hugh Jackman, Sean Penn and Morgan Freeman .

MERCY JOHNSON IS WANTED BY NIGERIAN POLICE

Don’t get it twisted, this isn’t a situation from one of her Nollywood movie, this is for real.
The veteran Nollywood actress is allegedly wanted by the Nigerian Police for over N2 Million Unfinished Movie Debt. A movie Marketer, Film Mark Productions
accused Mercy Johnson of running off with over two million Naira, paid to her for a role in a movie.
According to reports, the actress, Mercy Johnson was paid by the marketer March last year to star in his movie that kicked-off
production in April, but she abandoned the production after few days and featuring in just few scenes. The filmmaker claim Mercy’s excuse for leaving the movie set was for her to go spend the Easter holidays with her family and will return after a day or two, but never returned again till date.
The filmmaker claims they had to continue paying hotel bills for an extra 33 days, because she kept giving them hopes that she would
return to the movie set.
After several weeks of not returning,
theytheard she was pregnant with her second child and had jetted off to the US to stay out hertremaining trimester’s before giving birth.
Immediately the Filmmaker heard the rumour of her pregnancy with her second child, he reported the case to the Police and Mercy was
declared wanted.

Ghanaian comedian and actor Benson Ohene Oduro Boateng known as Funny Face reveals how he feeds his fourteen dogs on The Late Nite Celebrity Show on e.TV. Which he said: “I have fourteen dogs and that’s the mistake that can happen to any man. When you make
money, think. I didn’t think about it at all. “I did not put their feeding and health into consideration because the other day I was with
Yaya Toure, Adebayor and Didier Drogba talking about dogs. As the conversation got exciting I was carried away forgetting I was not making their kind of money". “Yaya Toure showed us his dogs, he has eight of them. He asked if I liked dogs and I said "Yes.”
“Initially I was giving them Papaye because business was booming until business slowed down and I started feeding them Gari…I have

VAN VICKER GOES INTO MUSIC

Ghanaian Actor, Producer, Director Van Vicker after so many years contributing to the growth of the Ghanaian film industry have officially decided to ram into the music industry fully. He stated: “I have chosen music now because I think I have done much for the movie industry, with my Van Vicker training facility ; being a producer and a director as well- so time to contribute to the music industry as well” and also that West Africa, especially Ghana, is endowed with real talent in music, adding that there are more untapped brains and talents that needed to be given the necessary drive. When asked what genre of musicians he will be hunting for, Van Vicker retorted "any genre that can catch the international eye".
“I am looking at discovering a talent for the international market, it doesn’t matter if is hip-life, gospel, raggae, etc, what matters is real talent” he added.
