One of Ghana’s leading producers of indigenous liquor Kasapreko have signed popular actor Kojo
Nkansah aka Lil Wyn as an ambassador of their Alomo bitters brand. Lil Wyn currently is one of Ghana’s top trending actors, the onscreen comedian have featured in over 500 movies winning Best Actor at last year’s Ghana movie awards. In addition he has
ventured into music collaborating with Guru on a hit single; Kojo Nkansah in short has become a
household name in Ghana making it a right move for Kasapreko to select him as their brand
ambassador. CEO of Kasapreko, Dr. Kwabena Adjei stated during the official signing of the actor that as
part of realizing CNN’s money poll list of top 5 potential leading brands in the world, Alomo
bitters is on the verge of a huge rebranding process. Kasapreko Company placed sixth in last year’s
Ghana Club 100 rankings and was awarded the most Innovative Company and the Manufacturing Company of the year in 2012 by
Ghana Investment Promotion Council (GIPC).
It has fourteen brands to its credit with Alomo bitters being its flagship product. Kasapreko producers of Alomo Bitters, the number one authentic African bitters hinted this action is a way of expanding their brand awareness into emerging markets. This and other carefully planned steps will help boost the brand name making it truly authentic as its motto states.
Kasapreko have over the years greatly contributed to the economy of Ghana, in terms of employment and tax payments. Just last year,
the company gave government an amount of GhC20 million for only tax. Kasapreko collaborates with the renowned Centre for Scientific Research into Plant Medicine
– CSRPM (Mampong – Akwapim) an affiliate of the World Health Organization in the development of its products and they supply the
concentration base for the production of Kasapreko products.
