Veteran Actor Katawere Has Died

Veteran Ghanaian actor, Katawere, known in private life as Ebenexer Donkor, has died.
According to family sources, the actor died early Monday morning, and his remains has been deposited at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital morgue. Asare Bediako said he died at 9 on Monday morning while they were preparing to go to the hospital for his routine checkup.
“ “I was preparing breakfast for him to eat before we leave for the hospital for checkup. After preparing the breakfast, he was not waking up so I checked him since I’m a nurse. I realised that he had stopped breathing so I called his doctor.The doctor told me to bring him to the hospital because he might be dead judging from how I’m narrating his condition. When we arrived, the Doctor told us to take his body to the mortuary since he was dead.” ”
He was 78.
Katawere featured in the popular television series, Efiewura – where he played the role of a controversial and difficult landlord.
