The office of Ghana’s Chief Imam has criticized the media for exaggerating the reportage and discussions on the recruitment of some Muslim youth by terrorist group, Islamic State or ISIS. The spokesperson of the Chief Imam Alhaji Mohammed Gado told Starr News:
"This is a very disturbing development but I want to believe that the media is exaggerating this…if out of 27 million…and one child has gone out don’t you think we are exaggerating the situation?" Alhaji Gado asked.
He added: "And there has been no proof that this young man who has disappeared has actually been involved with [ISIS]".
